48" x 125' Ultra Concrete Barrier Insulation

Insulating where there is contact with the ground is always tough on insulation. The ground is an infinite heat sink and will constantly pull heat from your living space. Traditional insulation like fiberglass is largely ineffective in below ground applications. The higher the moisture, the worse fiberglass performs. 

ULTRA CONCRETE BARRIER is a white / double bubble / foil reflective under slab insulation product that is designed specifically for these applications. Its effectiveness is impervious to moisture gain and its double bubble design provides an effective thermal break.  The foil side of the product also has a protective coating to protect the surface. The design of the product makes it ideal for use in radiant heat floor systems, wrapping foundation walls, and many other concrete insulation projects. Not only is Ultra CB a radiant barrier, but it's also a vapor barrier giving you two products in one. Its insulation properties are unaffected by moisture and humidity.

Ultra CB's design consists of a double layer of heavy duty polyethylene bubbles, sandwiched between a reflective aluminum sheet and a white polyethylene surface.  It is ideal for many under slab insulation applications.  It is an upgrade from our standard under concrete foil insulation because the aluminum surface is treated with a coating to protect it from curing concrete.

When installed under concrete, the temperature of the slab will be closer to room temperature.  Ultra CB breaks the thermal bridge between the slab and ground reducing dampness and increasing the comfort of your basement.  In radiant heat systems you will notice warmer floors, faster slab response times, and reduced BTU consumption.  This is why CB foil insulation has gained strong recognition in the radiant heat HVAC market because it is easy to install, reduces labor costs, and increases overall system efficiency.
