Why Under Concrete Slab Foil Insulation is the Best Choice

Reflective foil insulation or bubble foil is commonly associated with in floor or in slab radiant heat systems. But, did you know that it is also an effective stand alone insulation underneath your concrete slab?
In the installation of traditional under slab insulation, first a vapor barrier is laid down. Then, pieces of foam board insulation are laid on top and your concrete is poured.
Bubble foil insulation replaces both these materials in one, thin, flexible material. When the seams are taped the product is a natural vapor and methane barrier. The 5/16" thick insulation is lightweight and easy to install. It installs quicker than foam board insulation because it's much easier to work with, transport and cut. It also installs perfectly on uneven grades.
When taking into consideration we also ship right to your jobsite, insulating with foil insulation is more economical and faster than other insulation systems.
